Joselu
Joselu is a Spanish professional football player. He was born on March 27, 1990, in Stuttgart, Germany. Joselu's full name is José Luis Sanmartín Mato. He primarily plays as a striker.
Joselu started his professional career at the youth academy of Celta Vigo in Spain. He made his senior debut for Celta Vigo B, the reserve team, in the Spanish Segunda División B. He then moved to the first team in 2009 but struggled to establish himself and was loaned out to several clubs.
In 2012, Joselu joined the German Bundesliga side, Hoffenheim. During his time at Hoffenheim, he displayed his goal-scoring abilities and attracted attention from other clubs. In 2014, he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt, where he continued to perform well.
Joselu's performances caught the eye of English Premier League club Stoke City, and he joined them in 2015. However, he struggled to find consistent form in the Premier League, and after two seasons, he was loaned out to Deportivo La Coruña in Spain.
After his loan spell, Joselu moved to Newcastle United in 2017. He had a decent spell at Newcastle, scoring some crucial goals for the team. In 2019, he transferred to Alavés, a Spanish club competing in La Liga.
Joselu has also represented the Spanish national team at the youth levels but has not yet made an appearance for the senior team.
Please note that my knowledge is based on information available up until September 2021, so there may have been further developments in Joselu's career beyond that point.
