Stéphane Demol
Stéphane Demol is a former Belgian football (soccer) player and coach. He was born on January 25, 1956, in Schaarbeek, Belgium. Demol primarily played as a central defender during his career.
Demol began his professional playing career at RWDM Brussels in 1974. He later played for Anderlecht, winning several domestic titles and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1978. He also had stints with Bordeaux in France and Mechelen in Belgium before retiring in 1989.
After retiring as a player, Demol transitioned into coaching. He has held various coaching positions, including assistant coach and head coach roles. Notably, he served as an assistant coach to Raymond Goethals when Marseille won the UEFA Champions League in 1993.
In 2011, Demol joined the coaching staff of the Belgian national team under head coach Georges Leekens. He also worked as an assistant coach for various clubs, including Anderlecht, Racing Genk, and Al-Wasl in the United Arab Emirates.
